Disregarding all danger — only fears still remain
The heavenly order — to turn our fate — on battlefields of war
Imperative instructions — echoing inside — belief dispersing inner doubts
Vocational assignment — encouraged she obeys — her trust in god is guiding her
way
Her soul ablaze by this heavenly call — she carries on

with the army to expel the enemy from our suffering country. He demanded that I
first liberate the besieged city of Orleans, and lead our Dauphin Charles to
Reims to be crowned and consecrated, that he might receive his rightful
inheritance as king. He dispersed any fears I had at first by saying that I
would be directed by angels from now on and I should trust in God.
I vowed to remain a virgin for the fulfilment of my task and entrusted myself
to the command of the angels. I know they will guide me safely.»
